Holidays at Miracle House

We have a wonderful group of people staying with us. Many have been here for quite a while and have several more months to go in their treatments. Miracle House has truly become their home during this time. We had a festive Miracle House Thanksgiving and clients appreciated the care and thought that went into making it so familial. With that in mind, we would like to make the apartments as cheery and warm as possible for the holidays.

Many of families staying with us will not be going home for the holidays. So, we will be putting together holiday baskets and if you or anyone you know would like to donate items for the baskets – baked goods, decorative touches, traditional holiday foods – please let us know. Items can be sent to our office - 80 Eighth Avenue, Suite 315, NYC 10011 or we will pick. We will also be getting wreaths and trees for some apartments where it’s appropriate. We could use help getting those and setting them up. All those extra ornaments and decorative elements you never put up – consider donating them to Miracle House and I assure you they will be put to good use.

If you have some time to spend in the apartments around the holidays, that is also always appreciated. If you would like to cook a meal at the apartments or just share a cup of coffee, you can give me a call and we can coordinate it. If you would like to do something, but not sure what, call or email me and we can go over the possibilities.

Remember, if you have tickets to shows or events you cannot use, please let us know. Many families have been here long enough now to want to experience the many wonderful things NY has to offer besides the expert medical treatment.
