Our History
Miracle House was founded in 1990 to provide temporary
housing to caregivers coming to New York City to support people
living with HIV/AIDS. Through the years, our mission has grown
to include anyone seeking critical medical treatment including
cancer, clinical trials, reconstructive surgery and more.
Miracle House Timeline

Miracle House’s first apartment – a studio on Manhattan’s Upper
West Side.

Miracle House relocates our client facility to Riverbank West,
a modern residential building in midtown Manhattan.

Some of our first clients share information about HIV/AIDS awareness.

Our facility expands to 3 apartments

Miracle House staff and volunteers participate in AIDS Walk NY.
Our mission expands to include cancer patients and their caregivers.
Bed and Breakfast campaign launched to expand our facility to 5
apartments.

Oprah Winfrey’s ‘O at Home Magazine’ renovates two of our apartments.
Miracle House expands mission to include all patients and caregivers
seeking critical medical treatment in New York City.

Miracle House exceeds our annual record
by welcoming 1,074 clients from
around the world.
